review 1: This book is a(n eccentric) knitter's dream. The patterns all look wonderful (minus the jackalope, but that may just me), and the ones I've knitted up so far were clearly written and came out perfectly. I love how she minimizes the number of parts to be sewn on (though not everyone may enjoy picking up stitches. The instructions in the front of how to do the stitches were so useful, I sometime refer to them for other projects. I will say that this book is probably best for intermediate knitters as some of the techniques used are more advanced.
review 2: The patterns are definitely cute and there are several things that I want to make in this book. However, I don't know if it's because amigurumi is mainly a crochet endeavor, but I found the instructions at times
... more not clear and kind of haphazard (use picture, cast on in this general area). If the pattern is this fluid, I would've appreciated more pictures to make sure I'm doing it correctly. All that being said, though these aren't the easiest to make, I am looking forward to making more creatures from the book (but may take a break and knit something with clearer instructions first). less
