review 1: Bloody freaking brilliant!How can you not love Lee and Gideon? Harper Fox creates such very real characters it's impossible not to. I have to say I feel completely inadequate to write a review of any of Harpers' books. Everything is richly detailed, without being descriptive. Ugh! I just can't find the words. If you've gotten this far you've read the blurb and know what the story is about but you can't know how beautiful Lee is in his quiet strength and bluntly strong Gideon as the rock wall which Lee batters against as his gifts tear him apart. Harper doesn't tell stories, she takes you on a journey through the countryside. Apart from the wonderful characters that you must love you feel the salty breeze, catch the scent of the flowers and earth around you and enjoy the ... moretale.
review 2: This series just gets better and better. Gideon and Lee are getting married. Lee is fretting over the wedding planning and Gideon suspects that there is something else going on. We also learn that Lee can see the future. Gideon takes Lee away for a week so he can rest. Lee finally confesses that he's upset because he can't see the wedding. Gideon reassures him. They also meet Kitto a young man who has been missing for two years. Each interpret the meetings differently and it causes some arguments between the two. Gideon and Lee are trying to learn how to love each other and realize that sometimes they will fight which is very hard on both of them. The mystery of Kitto is cleared up with unusual results. Lee is injured and how has a scar on his face. The book ends on their wedding day with a very big surprise. I can't wait to read the next installment. It can't come quick enough. less
