review 1: I couldn't love this series more. The author is a splendid writer and evokes images both beautiful and frightening. I enjoyed the progression of the main characters relationship. Plus, it was good to meet Gideon's family. I hope we see more of Ezekiel. I'm also interested in what is following Lee. this was a good story that advanced the relationship and had a spooky mystery. I can't wait to read the next one.
review 2: I think I might like this sequel even more than the first book! Gothic paranormal horror, romance, and a detective story, all rolled into one. I'd love to see these made into a BBC series -- although they might have to do the sex bits with less of an X than it deserves.
