review 1: This book barely made it to three stars with me and did only because of the classic status the book has. I read this once I found out it was the (very loose I would say) basis for the Day the Earth Stood Still. It barely resembles that classic movie and, in this instance, I would have to say the movie was better than the book. It is rare that I say this but in this case it is true in my opinion (and only the classic movie, not the remake with Keanu Reeves thank you).

Short and sweet. Neat but there was a lot of meat left on those bones.
