review 1: Seemed like a continuation of the BT book more than a Jane Eyre themed plot, except for the "back bone" theme. I wonder if that's because the publisher wanted to make the book more accessible to younger girls who might have been fans of the earlier teen fiction themes? Jane Eyre is much more an adult novel than a 'girls' book.' I was saddened to see a lot of typos in this book - rushed to press or just not edited?
review 2: This book wasn't the greatest in the series. It had it's moments. Megan's grandmother offers a foreign exchange student to stay at the Wongs. Sophia is taking over Megan's family and Megan is feeling left out. Cassidy hockey team is in the finals for hockey. Emma and Stewart help with Mrs. Wongs campaign for Mayor. Jess is off to New York ... morewith the singing group she's in. I will read this book again so I can write a better review. less
