review 1: So this book was a little dull to begin with, there wasnt much life to the characters and they greatly lacked in descriptive details. However as the story progressed a began to get really into it and the story line itself was great, unfortunately I cannot say the same for the way the book was written, Firstly there was no need for a new chapter to start every 3-5 pages (over 65 chapters in total!) and the use of untranslated German words although the intent was to add culture it was just confusing. overall this book is not one i would choose to read twice but it was not un-enjoyable
review 2: I think that this book was very intriguing and kept you very interested and the author used techniques to keep you reading. Some examples of these techniques are when the
... more author keeps you suspended in the book and this technique makes you want to continue reading the book and never put it down. Another technique is the author used is when she brings up interesting theories and mini stories that make you want to look deeper into the book. less
