Writing Stories

When feeling unmotivated while writing your stories, the best tip is to take a break. Read or watch a movie. It might give you ideas or just help you relax. Spin a story with an alternate ending. Think in terms of what kind of emotion you want the reader to feel. I didn’t think about that before. Now I try to accomplish on trying to squeeze out the desired emotion. For example, I want the reader to feel sad, so I’ll create a story designed in a specific way. Some interesting pointers which you can follow when you start to write.
  • Before starting to write, think what kind of story you want to tell – not genre specific like (comedy, drama or action) but a rough idea of what happens which can be written on a piece of paper in one sentence like – a woman starts thinking about death with her dog’s recent demise.
  • RL Stine wrote endings or knew endings before embarking on his stories, very good idea that it. Read it, and try writing when you know the ending. That’s how Stine wrote so many stories which won hearts of young and old alike. He’s my favourite author too.
