review 1: (2013)twin text:(2012) St. John, Amanda. How a Library works 1. Name some parts of our library.2. Why are food and drinks not allowed by books?3. How are the books organized?4. Simplify this book into Library rules.5. Imagine what would happen if we could.6. Create a set of three Library rules. This is a great introduction for grades K-4. It will help me tell the changes in my library, like using scan cards, compared to last year.
review 2: I love Amelia Bedelia, and I enjoyed this book since it deals with another love of mine: libraries! I still have my first library card...and my second, third, fourth... :-) That said, I like the books with the adult Amelia Bedelia more. In these "young Amelia Bedelia" books, her literal-mindedness doesn't result in hilario
... moreus mayhem. Instead, it really seems to be used in an educational manner. This is not a bad thing by any means, but having grown up with hilarious mayhem, it's hard to be satisfied with less. But the story was cute, as were the illustrations, so I managed. :-) less

This was cute from the perspective as a librarian, but I don't see kids following along as well.
