review 1: Press Here, by Herve Tullet, is a very unique book. Setting it aside from the general children’s books, Press Here’s illustrations and dialect is incredibly basic. However, Tullet somehow manages to make this book a very enjoyable experience. All alone, one yellow dot splotched in the middle of sea of white on the page is just the beginning to our journey. Throughout the book, we find out what happens when he follows the directions of the book, “Press here” or “Press the yellow dot.” As we flip through the pages the excitement continues with simple movements. The dots almost fall off the page when the reader is told to “blow really hard!” This is such an admirable children’s book because it truly engages the child while reading. At a physical glance, it m... moreay seem a little boring but Herve Tullet’s use of the page and primary colors sets this apart from all other books!
review 2: Although kids would adore this book, and it is great for being interactive, it doesn't actually teach anything. Its fun to turn the pages and see what you'll get to do next but It has so many pages of basically the same thing. Although I find the book to be cool but not actually worth my while, I know kids love these kinds of book, and honestly with this one, I bet it would get beat up pretty quickly. less
