review 1: Wow, I am so invested in this story. I got the answers that I craved, but that only dragged out more questions! I am on to the Shift series as soon as I finish writing this up. I am trying to reflect on this series as a whole. As the IT side of the silos was revealed I tried to understand the order. Knowing that the human race was responsible for the decimation of the world, would a silo full of human seeds be our only hope?Would limiting human interaction and keeping everyone on a routine be enough to bide our time? How long could a society survive like that before people went searching for answers? Is execution justified when you have the future of the human race in your hands? Juliette attempts to stop an uprising in order to prevent the destruction of her home and fami... morely. The truth united them and brought an end to the immediate violence, but will that unity remain? Will Juliette be the new mayor? so many new questions. I won't find out the answers until I start Dust and I am still 3 books away!
review 2: I really liked the conclusion of the Wool series -- you find out more about the world, and what events transpired in the world that people have to live in underground Silos. I felt that a lot happened and there was a lot of jumping from different character's POVs, which wasn't as smooth as the more limited POVs of previous parts. I think this is why it took me so long to get invested in finishing this part. But it's still a fantastic story and well done. I really enjoyed reading this series of self-published novellas, and am thrilled to hear of the success it has. Hugh Howey is a great author! less
