review 1: I didn't make it past the first chapter. I understand that it called the "Cursing Mommy's Book of Days" but I figured that there might be more story than cursing which doesn't seem to be the case. I love listening to Cynthia Nixon's narrations and thought the cover looked fun, so I gave it a try. Big mistake. The only reason I am putting this in my "read" file is so that I don't forget and try this one again. After reading other's comments--I see I made the right choice.
review 2: Fantastic! I usually really refrain from swearing and aggressive language as it just doesn't interest me to surround myself with those words. But this book was HILARIOUS! At first it caught me off guard and felt a bit abrasive, but the further I got into the story, the more fitting
... more it seemed. This poor mama, whom so many of us can identify with, struggles her way through the mundane aspects of her daily life, at times completely overwhelmed with trivial and frustrating incidents that always devolve into blaming the Bush Administration. I feel her pain. I feel her optimism. I feel her struggle to make things nice and have everything work out. Fantastic! less

Pretty funny book. Storyline is a little strange but kind've what makes the book humorous.

I liked the first few months but after that it got a bit tedious and not as funny.

Shallow, the satire and humor miss the mark. Yuck!
