review 1: This is humor for the blackest of hearts. It's funny but so painful at the same time. The best analogy I can give is it's like watching the UK version of The Office - it feels so much like you are at work you almost can't look at the screen.Best in small(er) doses - I am stuck right now at early April (this is set over one calendar year). Am I afraid of the Mommy's meltdown over tax day? Will an early spring cause her kid to tromp mud through the house and destroy the rugs? Will that nasty medical bill ever get paid? Not sure but will try to see this one through. It has to get happier by Christmastime, right?
review 2: God this was horrible. Totally and completely horrible. Cynthia Nixon (Miranda from Sex in the City) does the narration but even that couldn'
... moret save this one. The book may have been worse on audio since her rants were so ridiculous-reading them may have made them seem less idiotic. I have no problem with cursing and profanity-AT ALL-that was not my issue with the book, just the rants in general got so tiresome. She tries to make a Thanksgiving centerpiece, she accidentally glues it to the table, she starts screaming about George Bush and Halliburton and Donald Rumsfeld, over and over and over again. This happens no less than 50 times in the book and that's probably a gross underestimate. The "story" itself is basically nonexistent and what is there is so far fetched its laughable. I'm just grateful I downloaded this from the library-ugh! less

Wretched! I use profanity but this was not funny. So obviously not written by a woman!

I could see how this could be an entertaining column, but it was too much for a book.

Not funny, not clever. Going back to the library ASAP.
