review 1: I admit that I am a sucker for zombie books. I loved this one, not because it was about zombies, but because it was a very unique perspective. Yes, one of it`s main characters was a zombie, kind of. There were other zombies too. There was so much else going on with this book. It`s hard to give an overview. This was a book with a lot of supernatural powers and different kinds of supernatural creatures. It was a fun, creative story. Calling it just a zombie story doesn`t do it justice.
review 2: I rated this three stars, but it should be four. It has a lot of wit, well drawn characters that I cared about, and I looked forward to reading it each say. To me it was like the X-Files if they were slightly cracked and off center. It had a "craziness in the real wor
... moreld" feel. It was both funny and creepy as well as having a decent mystery. Now as to why only three stars instead of four : There are NUMEROUS typos and continuity errors throughout. At one point the cat is black then gray with white. Two newspaper articles on different days have the same date. The typos are not something I usually focus on, but there were so many as to be distracting. A thorough edit will push this up a star in my opinion. I did enjoy the story though. less

Overall a good book but at times hard to follow especially at the beginning of new chapters

Better than I expected, with some clever world-building and interesting characters.
