review 1: Aunque parezca imposible, el Sr. Welsh consigue que no eches de menos Trainspotting. Mantiene ese humor negro, crítico y ácido que Irvine sabe combinar tan bien con la crudeza del día a día de cada uno de aquellos inolvidables personajes nacidos de su obra de referencia.La única gran referencia con respecto a Trainspotting es la madurez que ha adquirido Irvine durante estos 20 años. Madurez que se ve reflejada en las maravillosas tres últimas páginas. Un cierre fantástico para una gran novela
review 2: A prequel to Trainspotting, Skagboys follows the road to junky-hood that Renton and his friends undertake. Drawing a few interesting parallels with Thacherism, the rise of skag and Aids on the streets of Leith are certainly food for thought. Read as a se... moreries of essays there are a few gems to discover. But as a novel it is less entertaining compared to Trainspotting and less coherent compared to it's sequel Porn. less
