review 1: The lead character in this book was so unlikable that I had a had a hard time with it. I stuck with it though, and thought that the resolution of the story was just fine. It was just hard to deal with how mean some of the people were, and how unrelenting. I stuck with it though, and I'm glad I did. Just not my favorite cup of tea - or protein smoothie. I did receive this book for free for an honest review, and this is it.
review 2: Interesting tale from Irvine Welsh, set in Miami, with a distinctly Transatlantic dialogue.Effectively a psycho psychological tale of 2 women who become involved when one of them saves the lives of 2 paedophiles by apprehending the attacker.From here Welsh involves keep fit, fat, kidnapping, lesbianism, Siamese twins and obscure mode... morern art in such an unusual way that is fantastic for the reader. less
