review 1: Volume 2 was SOOOOO good, and I had many hopes for Volume 3. And while I liked it, and continued to think the art amazing, it wasn't until I read a few other reviews that I figure out why it felt so...incomplete. I had no knowledge of Straczynski's move to DC, but I have to agree with others who say this book suffered from his leaving. There were amazing moments to be sure (Bill! Volstagg OMG!) but so many unanswered questions and an ending that just kind of happens. I am still really happy I read the whole series, I'm just sorry this last volume didn't deliver on the promise of AWESOME that volume 2 had laid out.
review 2: Sigh. That's really all I can say about this volume. I really thought it would be much better, but almost everything about it was disappo
... moreinting -- with the exception of Djurdjevic's art, which in some ways was even better than Coipel's. That was really the only thing that saved it.The volume simply didn't live up to my expectations. It lacked any clear resolution, and Straczynski started glossing over important events like Loki's (SPOILER ALERT) reacquisition of his body. And why did Loki spill the beans on Sif anyway? I guess so that Thor could watch her die, but you know what's just as effective? SEEING HER DEAD. And, wow, did Doom and Loki's plan get found out quickly and Balder's shitty decision to move collapse fast.Basically, nothing seemed really well thought out and everything was run through so quickly that it lacked emotion or drama. Also, why the hell was Sif a dumb country girl in a belly shirt who couldn't remember to button her damn pants? Bechdel test, Straczynski? So, yeah, I'm pretty disappointed that I bought the trilogy. Only the second one was worth it. less

Would have been nice to see this one wrap up an arc rather than leave the reader hanging.
