review 1: meh. a bit too mushy for me - but cool world building. humans sell themselves for a period of time as blood slaves to vampires - there's nothing much else available to the downtrodden. our heroine's contract w/her vampire owner is about up, but she doesn't want him to wipe her memory of him because she's totally in love with him. its a short story, so giving any more info would negate the need to read this. which may not be a bad idea, unless you know. you think its romantic for a blood slave to offer up her life just so she can have sex with her vampire ONCE.
review 2: This short story would have made a great full-length novel. I would loved to have started Katja and Lord Sebastian's journey from the beginning, experiencing the development of their relationshi... morep. Maybe even seeing how Katja handles the other women that Lord Sebastian feeds from and beds , since he is not able to do so with her. This is my second time reading Saare's work and it definitely won't be my last. less
