review 1: Jaci Burton wrote another book I adored. While I will agree with others that this book lacked a lot of action, and that it may have been predictable (honestly, most HEA Romance novels are, IMO), I found Emma and Luke to be great. They both started out their "relationship" not wanting to be in and swearing to avoid a real relationship at all costs. Having both had rough ends to past relationships it was understandable, and the development of their relationship and their growing bond was cute. It was a light hearted, warm, fuzzy read. One that I found was worth staying up until 5 am to finish.
review 2: Nice people, great dogs but not much sizzle even when the heroine Emma is faced with a threat from her past. I like Emma and the hero, Officer Luke along with K-9
... more cop, Boomer. Since Emma is a veterinarian we get plenty of animal interaction.I liked it enough to read on in the series but didn't find it a super compelling read. If you're looking for Jaci Burton's usual temperature raising bedroom hijinks, things are a bit vanilla. less
