Truth or Dare
review 1: The book Truth or Dare by Jacqueline Green is a suspenseful and somewhat addicting read. The book began with Tenley Reeds house party just thrown so she can reclaim her popularity and so Tenley gets to see her best friend, Caitlin Thomas again. All while "loner" Sydney Morgan wasn't invited, so she was hiding behind her camera, typical Sydney; drowning her feelings in photography. A few days later each of them had recieved a dare telling them to each do something and if not they would have their deepest darkest secrets exposed to the whole town. All three girls have to team up and figure out the true identity of the darer. Truth or Dare is a juicy mystery and very exciting to follow. It is one of those stories that is not fantastic but drags you in and won't let you go unt... moreil you find out what's next. There is enough mystery in the identity of the darer to keep you reading on for more clues. The book was a more for fun type of read that doesn't give you much of a lesson more of a joy read. It was an easy read and the perfect combination of drama and mystery that keeps you reading on until midnight. If you are looking for a gripping novel, almost alike to The popular show Pretty Little Liars, with lots of mystery I would definitely recommend reading this jaw-dropping book.
review 2: For all you "Pretty Little Liar" fans, this is totally the book for you! The story revolves around three teenage girls, Tenley Reed, Caitlin Thomas, and Sydney Morgan, who attended a big end of the summer party and decided to play truth or dare. The game turned out to be epic, making the party a huge success. However shortly after the party was over, the three girls started receiving texts from a mysterious “darer” that blackmails the girls to do terrible and dangerous things, or risk their darkest secrets to be revealed. I really enjoyed this book because I love mystery books, and this one will defiantly keep you guessing to the end! This book was also very relatable because the three girls are all so different. Tenley is the "cool and popular" girl, Caitlin is the good girl obsessed with keeping up her image to get into Harvard, and Sydney is the outcast who spends more time with her camera than with friends. Because the girls have such different personalities, it was easy for me to connect with one. The one thing that caught me off guard however was the ending, it totally caught me off guard and was a little sad. Despite this, I can't wait to read the next book in the series called "Secrets and Lies" that recently came out! less
