September Monthly Wrap UP

Can you believe that it’s October 1st already? This past month has been a whirlwind of activity for me. I felt like I became a real adult because I’m taking care of a baby girl who turned one month, bought and moved into a brand new house, and that’s about it. I feel like all good things comes in threes (or at least when you are listing things out), so I guess I’ll come up with a third reason soon enough.

This month has been a better reading month for me. I am still 18 books behind schedule (and that’s even lowering my Goodreads Challenge number to 75!). It seems as soon as I finish a book and the number goes down to 17, the next day it is back to 18 (lol). Hopefully, I’ll be able to catch up and actually read 75 books by the end of December!

This month I read:

  • The Complete Grimm Chronicles books #2-6 by Isabella Fontaine and Ken Brosky
  • Once and for All by Sarah Dessen
  • That is a lot better than the one book I read in August (and none in July)!

I bought quite a few books last month (and I only read one of them!)

  • Warbringer  by Leigh Bardugo
  • Once and for All by Sarah Dessen
  • A Darkness Strange and Deadly by Susan Dennard
  • The Forbidden Game (books 1-3) by L.J. Smith
  • The Last Star by Rick Yancey
  • The Shadow Hour by Melissa Grey
  • The Lunar Chronicles Coloring Book
  • and about 6 baby books for my daughter
  • This month I plan on only buying One Dark Throne by Kendare Blake and The Language of Thorns by Leigh Bardugo!

My goal for October is to read at least one book a week. I know I will be reading the Illuminae Files (#1 and #2) by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff, When I Cast Your Shadow by Sarah Porter, and finish The Complete Grimm Chronicles by Isabella Fontaine and Ken Brosky.

Other than reading, my goal is to also at least blog 4 times a week. I already do two weekly posts, and hopefully I’ll keep myself accountable and be able to post two more times throughout the week. At least I have my mother in law in town for the month to help me out, so realistically this should be doable!

How was your September? What is on your TBR pile for this month?
