review 1: This is book 3 in the Shadowdwellers series but it's actually 2 stories in one book. The first 100 pages is a novella about Sagan finding his mate and the remaining 230 pages is a novel about Malaya, the Shadowdweller Princess/Queen finding her mate. Ms Frank knows how to write a hot paranormal romance, that's for sure. Both stories have everything we've come to expect - action, adventure, intrigue (political in this case), hot sex, romance, and a little giggle here and there. I have to say that I don't like Malaya - a cluless almost shrewish woman - but I don't think that we were supposed to like her. This was published in 2009 and there haven't been any other Shadowdweller books so this is only a trilogy.
review 2: Holy Crap! The last 100 pages of this b
... moreook were so damn good. I could have lived without Sagan's story, since there was very little mention of him in the previous books. It almost seems like she created his story just to facilitate her happy ending. However, Guin and Malaya's story rocked. With all the build up of tension in the earlier books, this part of the story was extremely satisfying. It was the most believable of all the Shadowdweller stories, in my opinion, since both characters stayed very true to their nature. I am very sad this is the end of the series and I will be holding out hope for a Tristan or Talon story, as well as a resolution to the danger to Ashla and Baby. less
