review 1: Despite the fact that I am not really into paranormal young adult books but I really enjoyed this one along with C. J. OMOLOLU's Transcendence and Intuition. Especially when you have beautiful interracial couples! My GOD have mercy: i loved this book word by word. The style it was written was just amazing. The story is told from Samara's point of view and you cannot help but love the girl for she is strong, sarcastic, witty with hints of humor in the way she summarizes things. And then, there is Caleb with his violet eyes and fear of women. He is just cute and innocent; not your typical bad boy hero. I really enjoyed the book for the depth provided by the author of vqrious characters that I really loved at the example of Mia and Dougie, they are hil... morearious with their unending fights and love quarrels. I hope to see more of them in the second book. Oh, I really loved Nadine (not wanting to be spoilary? But I grieved for her) All in all, I am still recovering from this and maybe I 'll find the guts to write a proper review once I finish the trilogy.Jaime Reed really got my full attention.
review 2: Let me start off by saying, love the cover. Its plain, its simple and it draws you in. Living Violet was a really interesting read. It's a different type of paranormal, without all the vampires and werewolves or witches. Samara, love the name, notices mysterious things happening and wants to find out. Caleb, has secrets that could possible kill. The story had drama, family ties, true friendships and on top of all that you can actually have a good laugh. Its really rare I find a book that I actually like and don't have one complaint about. This is one of them. less
