review 1: Oh Jaime why would you do this to us? Tobias is definitely one of the few characters I truly enjoy hating. I couldn't put the book down and Samara remains one of my favorite heroine EVER. Her sense of humour and her use of irony made me love her even more.I didn't got as obsessed with it as I was with the first book (Caleb being less present in this one...) but it was great!3.5 stars for me!
review 2: Ms. Reed has done it again!After thoroughly enjoying Book One of the Cambion Chronicles, I was eager to get my hands on the second and third installments. My first irritation was the fact that I couldn't find these in Barnes and Noble - which is a whole other issue that I'll be addressing on my blog soon - so I went ahead and snatched up the electronic copies. An... mored let me say I was not disappointed.The one great thing that a YA love story needs is a....love triangle! Ms. Reed gives us this and more. Everyone has secrets, and Nadine in book one was no different. Sam, who is working to get a hold of her sentient being and learning to feed properly and dealing with everything else that comes with suddenly finding oneself to be supernatural, discovers that Nadine has some skeletons in her closet that might really bite her in the butt in the end.This novel is chocked full of steamy action, teenage angst, and those arrogant and hot guys that we love to hate. In Sam we have a main character that's real and honest, and her love for Caleb really jumps off the page. I thoroughly enjoyed their interactions and how it felt like they really had each other's backs in the end.This is definitely a good read!!! less
