review 1: A new must read series for me. This is the fourth book in this series and I would recommend reading this series in order as there were a couple of times I found myself lost with some character interactions.I love reading paranormal romances and this series is right up my alley. Fonda's need for revenge against Eric - coupled with their immediate attraction provided an unbelievable roller-coaster of intense emotions and sexual chemistry. Once I started reading it I couldn't stop. There are so many unanswered questions in this series and I can't wait to find out those answers and see how Ms. Rush reveals them! A wonderful cliffhanger!!
review 2: Burning Darkness is the fourth book in Jaime Rush's incredible Offspring series. Eric Aruda and Fonda Raine are bot
... moreh Offspring, children of a mysterious experiment gone awry. All of the Offspring have psychic powers; Eric has pyrokenesis and Fonda is able to astral project. Of all of the characters in the series, Eric is by far my favorite and I couldn't wait to FINALLY read his story. Hell who wouldn't love a guy who when asked what his power is said "I set people on fire"? HEE HEE Throughout the series, Eric has been the hard ass. The one guy who was tough and would protect his friends and family without caring about the death and destruction that came along with it. Then he took out an enemy and the event scarred him. Fonda was a witness to that event; she was there when Eric set her boyfriend on fire. After witnessing the horrific event, she swore vengence and made it her mission to kill Eric.Fonda had every intention of destroying Eric but fate intervened and soon the two of them found themselves on the run and depending on each other for survival. To see Eric from a different perspective was gratifying for me. He may be dark, damaged and a little crazy but he has a huge heart when he allows himself to actually feel.I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The character development was great, it was action packed and we FINALLY get to know where the Offspring originate from and why everything has happened. Can't wait to get into Petra and Cheveyo's story next. less
