The Angel (Caideo) and Dragon species are nicely developed and we have a good origin story. However, overall, I was just confused and because of that disengaged. T... morehere are others in this world--Deuces and Crescents. I have no idea what they are. In fact, not only are all the other species not detailed, all the side characters are barely developed as well. I wish this was known world to humans and not a hidden one. I am tired of the secret society of paranormals stuff. This kind of plot development takes away time from character and plot development. This writer has talent. I am hoping a longer format gives us more depth and less confusion. I was given this book for my honest review. So, there you have it!
review 2: Really short and just a bit confusing, Dragon Rising makes for an interesting read. I have always been interested in paranormal books that have dragons in them so I was very intrigued by the synopsis of this book. This is a Paranormal Romance with some mystery mixed in. The confusing part was trying to figure out all the different beings, their special powers and how do they live among us in this contemporary urban environment. I did like the plot and I thought Archer and Lyra made for an interesting couple. I wish the book had been a little longer, it did feel a bit rushed at the end. Dragon Rising is #0.6 in The Hidden series and this is a series I will be continue reading. less
