review 1: Excellent book. I gained a whole new appreciation for how our constitution was written and the people who wrote it. I especially enjoyed learning about James Madison. As with any historical novel, the author wove the lifestyle of the day into the story and used it to hold your interest. One other thought that struck me is that politics today are like the politics then, but maybe more cordial. It also reminded me that the self centered fade into historical obscurity while those who worked for the greater good became the heroes of history. I particularly enjoyed comparing certain attributes of some of the delegates to politicians today. A great read for history buffs. less
