review 1: I liked this book. I liked the scriptural references & the way the stories were grouped together with like stories. I have had spiritual experiences myself & these stories go along with what I have experienced.Although I haven't seen angels in Harley jackets, I liked how the angels appeared like normal people. The two men who showed up at Mormon Flat Dam & helped the family out of a perilous situation made me laugh. The man wouldn't normally trust men who looked like them, yet they got him out of the situation & then disappeared. Just goes to show we shouldn't judge a person by their appearance.I also liked how the authors included hell or demons. Hell & Satan are real & we should acknowledge that. This is definitely one I'll be reading again.

... moree real-life stories of near-death experiences and spiritual encounters. Having lost my dad in August, many of these stories gave me a measure of comfort, especially the stories of those who saw glimpses of Heaven before they passed on. They are also comforting to me when I think about my own eventual death from cancer. It might sound morbid to some to want to read about death when you have incurable cancer, but to me, learning more about it means I have less to fear.I especially liked hearing the stories of people seeing loved ones who had already passed waiting for them, and my favorite story was the 63 year old man who had a near-death experience and among the first to greet him were his pets. The stories about those having spiritual encounters without having to go through the near death thing were nice too, they really made me think and want to keep my mind open to be able to have experiences like that, if I am so lucky. less

This book should have been better. Many of the accounts aren't that riveting. The book is uneven.

Mom appreciated this. I didn't have a chance to read it. Christian perspective.
