We suppose the good news is that the City of Klamath Falls is trying to move ahead on solving its geothermal problems. The bad is that the problem exists at all and may have existed for years.
The message was delivered by Public Works Director Mark Willrett to the City Council in a work session last week seeking guidance on what should happen next. The problem is that the city is pumping water out of the aquifer near Ella Redkey Pool, but not re-injecting it back into the aquifer as required by city ordinance.
