review 1: As a thriller, it's OK. Fast paced and not-overly-obvious. The set-up is not very logical, however. For example, high government officials receive mysterious emails, predicting terrible and strange natural disasters. Emails warn recipients not to tell anyone and that they will receive information on what the sender wants. Disasters happen and thousands of people die. In all the discussion that follows, no one EVER asks what the villain wants. This is one thriller that you don't really want to think about too much. The ending is ambiguous enough that a sequel could be on its way.
