review 1: A light, humorous way of tellings kids--and parents!--not to watch too much TV! Especially to not have the TV be your child's baby-sitter. There was definite tongue-in-cheek and I enjoyed it. The ending was funny, too. Hopefully a lot of people get the point.I do find it funny, however, that I will have this book on display in the "Things You Love" preschool storytime for the 2-year-old child who said TV was one of the things they love. Hmmm...
review 2: I really enjoyed this book!! This book is about a boy named Todd, and his parent's are always SO busy. One day, Todd realizes that he wants to help people, and he wants to "lend a helping hand" to people who need it. After you get done reading the book, TV doesn't seem all that important anymore! ... mored be great for elementary school students, because they students LOVE to watch TV (for the most part). I think it is a good fit for students to read because it shows them how awesome it is to help people, and how sitting in front of the TV isn't very important, and I think student's should learn that at a young age. I could read this book to my students if we are talking about time management, and why it is important to help other people. less

A cautionary tale about letting the TV take over your life. It was funny, but a little preachy!

More of a cautionary tale for adults than a books for kids, but a good message.

Hilarious! A must read for parents who use the TV as a babysitter. :)
