review 1: This book had me cracking up! While it was extremely funny, it did have a lot of romantic ideas sprinkled into the mix, which made me like it even more. After reading this book, I definitely have to check out some of the author's other titles. It was very easy to get into, and I just wanted to keep reading without stopping until I found myself at the end. Michelle was one of those characters who had me laughing out loud throughout the entire book. I love it when a book actually allows me to imagine them as the author (hopefully) intended me to.
review 2: A Hard Man is Good to Find by James W. Lewis is a hilarious erotic comedy about a young woman named Michelle Larsen who finds herself in an interesting predicament with her new someone, Daryl Jackson. Is i... moret true what they say about black men? From start to finish this book was hilarious to say the least! I loved the colorful commentary that Michelle always referred to when speaking about the men she had previously dated. Whether it's reject number 1, 2 or 3 Michelle has hilarious names for each one. “Booty Bandit, Anal Intruder, Captain Funkie Azz, etc...” I must say Lewis' characters were well thought out and his dialogue kept me laughing until the very end of the book. Michelle's character is the kind of best friend every girl needs. She tells it like it is! The comedy within this novel is fantastic! Get ready to laugh out loud! This is a great book especially for young women who are still in the dating scene. Michelle's character dates your typical pick of losers. It's extremely relate able because most woman have encountered such men. Whether it's men with bad hygiene or not so pleasing packages. Overall, I would have to say A Hard Man is Good to Find is the perfect book if you're looking for some comedic relief. I read it in one sitting! The characters are extremely likeable and the story is great! I can't wait for James W. Lewis' next book! less
