review 1: Just finished this. Read an intriguing review and bought copies for gifts for the two teens in my life, and a copy for me because everybody needs someone to talk to about a book. I'm sure I'll get over it, but right now I feel like it's a really terrific book: brilliant style, brilliant structure, brilliant characters. That's a meaningless way to describe a book and, as I said, I'm sure I'll get over it. After all, it's just a young adult novel.
review 2: Twins Jude and Noah are alternating narrators in this heartfelt novel. Noah narrates the story from the past during their 13th year when tragedy strikes and everything changes. Jude narrates the story in the present in their 16th year as guilt and grief break free and secrets are revealed. I liked all the art ... morereferences in the story --I felt it made the story more visual and emotional. Everything is tied up a little too neatly in the end but I like a happy ending so...HS less
