review 1: We finished reading Who Was Dr. Seuss? by Janet Pascal. This is a nonfiction biography all about Dr. Seuss. Dr. Seuss wasn't actually his real name. His real name was Theodor (Ted) Seuss Geisel. He created the name Dr. Seuss to be playful. He wasn't really a doctor. Did you know that whenever Dr. Seuss traveled he liked to buy a new hat. He would often use this hat as a thinking cap. Dr. Seuss invented the hat that the Cat in the Hat is wearing and it is famous. Dr. Seuss loved to draw animals and make up new names for them. We also learned about all the books that he wrote over the years. Some of the books that he wrote were: The Bippolo Seed and Other Stories, Green Eggs and Ham (it only has 50 words), and Horton Hears a Who. We thought this book was really fa... morescinating because we learned about his life. We think other people should read it because it's great for kids to hear out loud and they can learn new things. Who Was Dr. Seuss? taught us so many fun facts about our teacher's favorite author.
review 2: This is a very good book. It has a lot of cool facts about Dr. Seuss. Did you know that his real name is Ted Geisel? I didn't!!!! He spoke English and German. He passed away in 1991. There is a lot more good facts about him and you will have to read the book to find out the rest. I liked it because I loved reading Dr. Seuss books when I was little. It really interested me. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn more about Seuss. less
