review 1: I picked up this book (along with 3 others)browsing the library shelves, since my requests had not come in yet. While I did pretty much read it in one sitting, it was not a must read--it was cold and rainy out. It was a decent read, but had some predictable moments. I had figured out who the younger prince was early on and that Tess was really fey. Some of the secondary characters could have been fleshed out more for my taste--but I do have a thing for epic fantasy.
review 2: A girl drawn to the forbidden woods to avoid her abusive father finds herself being accused of withcraft. This book sucked me in pretty quickly. There are some nice twists and turns in the book. My only issue is with the author's use of furthering the story by having the main character a... moresk questions to herself. "Will they..blah blah blah? What happens if...blah blah blah... Other than that, it was a fun story that left a little question mark at the end for the future to come. less
