review 1: For me book 4 didn't make as much of an impression as the first three did. My kids loved it though because of the lake monster. The Monster who is green with jealousy. Which is what this book is about. It is about a kid who doesn't like that other kids are paying less attention to him. That is a theme that works wonderfully with my kids because I have always tried to keep them well-rounded. and be happy with what they have. I have tried to teach them to be accepting of people who are different from them. That is what this book showed me. This book shows that a situation when you are faced with being envious of people. That was a great thing for me to see in a children's book because it is something that inforced what I try to teach my children on a daily b... moreasis.
review 2: Lunch Lady and the Summer Camp Shakedown by Jarrett J. Krosoczka is the fourth book in the Lunch Lady series. Dee, Hector and Terrence are spending their summer at camp. And so is the Lunch Lady and her faithful assistant. Good thing too, because there's a swamp monster terrorizing the camp! This mystery reads like a classic Scooby Doo. There's a monster to catch, clues to find and of course the Lunch Lady's gadgets. By book four, the characters have settled down and everyone has a role to play. That puts the emphasis instead on the story. The artwork continues the strong use of yellow (with some green thrown in for the swamp monster). There are strong lines and easy to read lettering. less

Another fun Lunch Lady story, can you figure out who the Swamp Monster is before Lunch Lady does?

This is one of my favorites so far! Loved that the villain was just a real person with a grudge.

This one was a little too Scooby Doo for my taste. Those meddling kids! (And Lunch ladies!!)

It was funny because their weapons were made out of food.
