review 1: I'm not giving a star rating on this book, because I will not rate a book under three stars (one of my quirks.) I had not read a Jasinda Wilder book before, but I was sorely disappointed with this effort. All cliff hanging endings which is a black mark in my eyes and and I do not suffer the repeated stupidity of main characters. Heavy on sex (which is okay) and very light on plot (which is not okay.)
review 2: This is the first 4 books and it is only 258 pages. It is about Anna, a plus size girl, who never expected to get the attention of a hottie like Chase. When he notices her and flirts with her she assumes he thinks she's easy. He tries to show her that he thinks she is beautiful just the ways she is and they share an incredible night together. The ne
... morext morning his band is signed to a major label and he is off to New York. One thing he left her is a sense of her inner sex goddess which makes her look at her partner and friend, Jeff, in a different way. Jeff has always crushed on Anna, but she kept him at arms length. Now she sees his muscles and how sexy and strong he is but sex with him is different from Chase. Jeff shows her a more loving, emotional connection. Just when they are connecting though, a letter and plane ticket from Chase show up. Anna is off to New York, to explore her feelings for Chase (or is she just running from her feelings for Jeff?). While there, they don't really talk about where it is going (her doing) but she does some incredible risky sexy things like sex in public. She starts to realize she is having serious feelings for Chase when she finds him with two girls, but before he can even explain himself she runs again - back to Detroit and to Jeff. She apologizes to Jeff and surprisingly he forgives her and they start a new relationship. After a few weeks they both say the L word even though Anna still thinks of Chase. Jeff proposes to Anna but Anna can't say yes. She tells him it isn't no but she needs time to think about it. The next night, Chase shows back up at her DJ job singing "With or Without You" after which he proposes. She doesn't answer but runs out. This book gives a blurb of the next book showing she is getting married but it doesn't reveal to whom. less
