review 1: This is the type of book you read when you want something that holds your attention while reading it, but then proceed to forget about it a few days later. I was operating on auto pilot while going through it and that is not a bad thing, making progress reading the book felt good. The story is generic spy stuff with characters who never feel alive, they feel like characters in a book who do things because they were written too. I know what a weird thing to say about a book, but there are so many other books with so many characters that seem real that 2D characters should be called out. I make this book seem bad, but it isn't bad it just isn't particularly good either. If you like spy novels and want a quick read while sitting poolside then maybe give this a ... morelook.
review 2: This was a good spy thriller which included recipes at the end of every chapter from a food the characters ate (still not sure why but it was interesting and made me hungry). I didn't really understand the ending, but maybe there will be a sequel? I also probably would have read it faster, but I only let myself read it while working out on the elliptical (to encourage me to exercise since I wanted to know what happened!) less

For whatever reason, I just couldn't finish the novel. It took too long to get moving.
