review 1: This story is about Emily, who returns to her home town to help her sister Laurie, after their father has a bad accident, after staying away for years because of a past that was both traumatic and unresolved. Bailey is her best friend and is Emily's crush from childhood. I don't like to give anything away so let me just say JB Lynn, had me holding my breath with every turn of the page!! Normally I can guess who is the villain in a book and at least get close but this time I played a guessing game right up to the last part of the book!!! I recommend this book and then some.. Fantastic Job JB Lynn!!
review 2: I join the ranks of the readers who said they could not put this book down. The suspense was prevalent throughout, and I was surprised and delighted by the
... moreromantic aspects of the book. Emily's fear was so real to me that I was actually getting nervous reading what would happen to her next. I don't usually have a lot of time to read, but in the case of THE FIRST VICTIM I had to make the time. Especially for the last quarter of the book. There was simply no opportunity to stop reading. I took the ride along with Emily. I might as well have been in the van with her. Excellent work, Ms. Lynn. less
