review 1: Powerful, gritty and fully charged. What becomes of a significantly damaged woman who finds love and happiness for a few weeks only to have it threatened. Well, if you are a soldier/finder/private investigator/hunter for hire, you do whatever it takes. In this case it takes EVERYTHING. There was real heartbreak here for the characters and the reader. I cried for Kit and had reminisces of my beloved Julia Poe. This series has many of the elements that I loved best in my previous favorite UF series. I am loving these books and devouring them daily. Sadly there are not too many more in queue right now. HELP!
review 2: OMG I really enjoyed the first book in this series but this second book blew me away. Kit manages to find trouble wherever she goes but th... moreis time trouble finds her. An old boyfriend gives her a job that she can't refuse, members of the council are being killed and it is down to Kit to find out what is going on. All I will say is that if you don't shed a few tears as you read this book then you are a harder person then I am. There is to much going on that to try to choose any one part to mention is like walking through a minefield. All in all a fantastic book I won't say anymore as I am concerned that I would spoil it for you. less
