Countdown to 2018- Terror Train (1980)

Directed by Roger Spottiswoode

Starring Jamie Lee Curtis

Synopsis: A young college student takes part in a cruel prank that leaves a frat pledge scarred. Many years later, the students hop aboard a train. Also aboard the train is a killer who’s switching costumes.

Review:  I’ve said plenty of times about how I love movies set on trains and movies that happen during winter. This is both. It’s also a slasher film, my favorite subgenre in horror. Add Jamie Lee Curtis and you’re in business. The film is sort of standard whodunit slasher film. It’s an interesting concept about the killer switching costumes. You never really got that in other horror films. The cast is pretty good, Ben Johnson is great. The film has great atmosphere and setting. Definitely another New Year’s must watch.
