review 1: The two main characters is the child and the grandma who are both not so believable. The child acts more like the adult while the grandmother acts more like the child. The book describes several things you can do with your grandmother while there is no real problem and resolution. This book leaves off with a closed ending and would leave a child wanting to spend time with their grandmother; doing all the fun activities listed in the book. overall the tone of the book is very relaxed and comfortable. If a child were to read this they would probably remember a few memories they had with their grandmothers and could make them really happy. The illustrations that go along with story show what is being said and gives the reader a better understanding of what is happening. Thro... moreugh the pictures it gives more of a playful, fun tone rather than a boring list of activities. The pictures really keep the reader interested and engaged with the book.
review 2: This book is ADORABLE--filled with love and humor. A little girl is spending the night at her Grandma's house, and their roles are reversed . . . SHE is the one babysitting her Grandma. But, of course, the food they eat, the activities they do, and the way they sleep (with the night-light on, the hall light on, and the door open) are all ways the little girl wants things to be. Great book to help kids feel "brave" when they spend the night with Grandma--plus there are plenty of ideas for things to do together--shadow puppets, say "I love you" without words, push each other on swings, and lots more. (Note: there's also a companion book "How to Babysit a Grandpa) less
