review 1: I really enjoyed this book! I liked the plot, the characters and the pace of the story! The author was successful in creating two characters with convictions and individualized identities. Our Marine Alpha male is strong, intelligent, serious and a follow the rules kind of a guy. Then there was Skye. Who is free spirited but smart with a strong sense of responsibility, loyalty, and understanding of human relationships. I really enjoyed this "opposites attract" story. I think Tim and Skye make a wonderful couple. This is shaping up to be an absolutely fabulous series. Jeanette, did a great job of laying the foundation work to her next book. I can't wait to see what happens with Madison and Jeremy!
review 2: I think the line "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas"
... more has no truth to it. Because in this story, what happens in Vegas has a permanent mark on two people. Now they must come to terms with their rash decision and make things right.Tim O'Shay is a bit straight laced. He's nor rash, he's level headed, and he thinks things through. One slip off of that line has him married and not even aware of it, until his wife comes looking for him at his home. Oh boy! Sure, he remembers this woman, because the intense attraction he felt towards her isn't something that could be erased. She claims they are married, and she sure has the proof to back that up.Skye is total opposite of Tim. She's a free spirit. She stands out in a crowed and has no problem with that. She's different and she knows it. She has a uniqueness to her that no one can ever copy. She believes in things such as Fate, and that belief has her wanting to make this sudden marriage work. Indeed, it's going to take a lot of work. Tim's military life and people he works with don't take too kindly to Sky's lively approach. In this story, the power of love is proved even with two people that live such drastically different lifestyles can work it out and stay together. Being so opposite brings out the inner person the other wants to unleash at times. Tim and Skye learn to get used to each other and compliment the other's personality with their own. This is a light hearted romance. It's funny, witty, emotional and very touching. Tim and Skye are characters that I came to love and was rooting for them from the start. They had a long way to go in order to understand each other and make the marriage work, but I knew they could do it.If you like contemporary romances with heart and heat, The Officer Says "I Do" will entertain and delight. Don't miss this book. less
