review 1: It's fine. This is Lemire's take on The Invisible Man science fiction story and it imagines the man in a small town. There is some hinted-at depth of character among the townsfolk but nothing that gets developed. There is the inevitable point where odd things start happening and the denizens of the town turn on the stranger because he's not like them and makes them uncomfortable (Which is certainly not original. This scenario probably appeared in popular culture even earlier, but The Twilight Zone episode "The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street" covered this in 1960). The ending is sort of ambiguous but nothing that makes you hope there is more story that will fill in the gaps. On the plus side, it only took two days to read.
review 2: I enjoyed The Nobody by Je
... moreff Lemire. I'm still new to the comic/graphic novel world and this is the second graphic novel I have read by Lemire (the first being Sweet Tooth). Surprisingly what I enjoyed most about The Nobody was what I didn't know about John Griffin (the man wearing the bandages). Lemire told me just enough about Griffin that I didn't feel like I was robbed of knowing something important but didn't tell me so much that I thought I had the man figured out.The Nobody is a good read and I will be looking into more by Jeff Lemire. less

Great take on the Invisible Man. Loved the artwork. Easy to breeze through, but enjoyable.

The invisible man is kind of touchy. Interesting but wish it went deeper.
