review 1: I liked his other books, but this one I just could not get into. It starts at Chapter 36 and goes backwards to Chapter 1. While it worked for the one Seinfeld episode, this book simply did not work for me. It seemed convoluted, contrived and simply didn't make sense to me. There was no excitement, no mystery and no page-turning desire there for me and I went halfway through the book before giving up.
review 2: I thought this book was fantastic! I actually listened to it as an audio book so I'll have get a paper copy to see the photos and drawings that accompany each chapter. There are plenty of synopsis on this page so I won't go into that but being the first book from Jeffery Deaver that I've ever read (listened to) I was completely surprised and every plot tw... moreist, well, most of them. Some of them I saw coming. The ending (beginning) was brilliant! Love it! I'm a big fan of atypical writing so this book appealed to me. I will definitely check out more of his books. less
