review 1: Jelle is a writer and experienced world traveler, who writes with a great amount of flair and humor. Not only gives the book great advice for the intermediate traveler—it doesn't cover the basics— it also holds some great stories. The beauty of the writing is that some of these are told with as little as 1 or 2 sentences. What this book offers you is a wealth of advice—how to not come across as an extremely blunt Dutchmen or how to bluff your way into a hotel, for example. Since it is full of stories, even those who do not have any intention to travel to inhospitable places can enjoy it. "Leedvermaak" as the author puts it.

... more are not necessarily your typical tourist destinations where, in many cases, a different set of rules are applied for different situations; very handy things to know. And I could use all the tips I can get.Along with that, I'm a huge fan of his and I've probably seen every documentary he's made.Very, very interesting book. He's very funny! less
