review 1: This was the shortest of this series and, maybe because of that, my least favorite. Kayla’s just turned 18 and she has her eye on Kane, her big brother’s best friend, to take her virginity before she leaves for college. But Kane has promised to protect her, not take advantage of her, no matter how badly he wants her. Finally, after a party fail that causes Kane to treat Kayla with lots of tenderness, he can’t resist anymore. But even though he’s been a player for most of his adult life, he can’t imagine spending his time with anybody but Kayla now. It was sweet, but I guess I just missed more story. Some other conflict they had to work through (the brother/best friend didn’t really put up that much resistance)... something. Maybe more sex?... more :-)
review 2: Hot, sweet and fast - just perfect! We have Cayla, newly 18 and in her summer after high school and before college trying to tempt her brother's best buddy. Kane is 28 and has known Cayla his whole life, seeing as he lived next door and his best friend's with her brother. He is staying at his parents house, next door to Cayla, for the summer while his parents are away. She is parading around in her bikini hoping he will take the bait, and he is dying staying away from her and promising her brother he'll look after herOne day, egged by her friend, Cayla, approaches Kane and lets him know what she wants. As gently as he can, he lets her down, but doesn't tell her he doesn't want her, just the oppositeAfter an incident at a party that night, Cayla is met by Kane at her driveway. She has a torn strap and a few cuts from a trip but once Kane gets his hands on her, he can't stop and the burning, hot, sex scene begins. As expected, her brother doesn't take it well, but they stay stubborn and she still goes off the college as expected in the fall, with him only an hour away less
