review 1: I have to give the plot 5 stars because it comes straight from Jane Austen but I had a hard time with this adaptation. Modern take of the classic tale. Lilly is a Native American who was fostered by a wealthy family in New Mexico, but she never felt like she fit in. The dialogue was not engaging and the characters were flat. I wish I liked it much more than I did but it was just not for me. Kissing, no sex. No violence, No language.
review 2: Alright I have watched Mansfield Park before and still feel traumatized by watching that movie. I did actually like the story even though the brother sister thing is definitely gross. Yes she might have been raised kind of like a Cinderella type figure in this home but it is still kind of gross. I wanted to know wh... moreat the foster parents thought. Would they allow them to live under the same roof? I don't know but I liked the writing and still found the story cute. I will definitely have to check out other Jenni James novels. less
