review 1: Did not finish properly(I skim read the last third or so)I don't like to give 1 star ratings but in this case, I will. Here are some of the problems I had with it:-The grammar was often incorrect-The entire plot (especially the 'romance') felt contrived-The language was inconsistent-Feelings were told and not shown-The characters were puppets made to suit the writer's whimsIf anyone is looking for a retelling of Rumplestiltskin, I suggest reading 'A Curse Dark as Gold'.
review 2: A Story of redemption of a mysterious villain turned hero, who has left us in the dark about his past until now. To be honest I feel like Rumplestiltskin was a better retelling of the Beauty and the Beast story line than her Beauty and beast retelling which was by the way pretty good
... morecompared to others I have in the past. I love that we began the story when he is at a young age and we see how he got his powers. We can also see his brother as how are hero could have ended up if not for the curse and an interesting reason for our heroine to get in the situation she has fallen in too. I feel like the curse was justified in a way and its not forced down are throats by saying: "Oh you did not let me in your home so curse you!" or "Oh, your mean to women so curse you!", like so many other versions of this type of story seems to always begin so it is nice to see an change for once. There are a lot of people you can easily dislike in this book but that is okay because they are either part of the problem or considered a villain. There is a few thing I am not a fan of though, I understand why these things were done but in truth, I was very impressed with this book. I am not going to give much away so if you get the chance pick it up and form your own opinion on this pretty original fairytales. less

I love the twist on the fairy tale. Not what I expected at all. I would give it a 3.5 stars.

I love fairy tale retellings. Jenni writes quick to read stories that are enjoyable.

Rumplestilskin is not the villain; he is the hero. It was a delightful read.

It was more of a beauty and the beast tale then Rumplestiltskin.

Loved it even though it was a bit cheesy :)
