review 1: Where to start... I like the characters as usual, but Avery's issue with Melissa is just annoying. And why does Derrik run to every request that Melissa makes? That whole thing is a bit annoying. I liked the plot but I'm not sure everything was cleared up in the end, although I could have easily missed it because I found myself skipping over the large chunks of history. I like history, but it was getting to be a bit much in this book. The plot was not the turn that I expected this series to take, but it was a very interesting direction to take the story. Continuing on with the rest of the series...
