review 1: I am not the type to give up on a book because I keep hoping that it will get better but I did not like this book at all. Mary was too self-pitying and not likeable in my opinion. Of course secrets ruin lives, Mary. If I was one of her sisters or parents, I would have smacked her until she came to her senses. If you don't want someone to contact you, how about changing your phone number? Ugh. I would definitely not recommend this book. So disappointing.
review 2: I did enjoy this book. I found a few parts of the story to be a bit tedious but otherwise, this book was great! The "secret" was predictable but some details surrounding it took awhile to unfold; therefore, keeping my interest and making me want to know more. I was on the fence about how I felt about ... morethe husband's character - thought he was overly jealous but not being in his shoes, not sure if I'm being too critical. I would recommend to others. less
